Description:
Pooled samples of human adipose extracts representative of the general population of the United States were examined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The use of gel permeation chromatography for cleanup was found to offer a significant improvement in detection capability. In addition to previously documented organo-chlorine residues, numerous polychlorinated terphenyls and three additional components of technical chlordane were identified.
