Description:

This meeting is intended to communicate Great Lakes invasive species early detection science to state management agencies to assist them in implementing monitoring. My presentation summaries lessons learned concerning invertebrate monitoring in the course of ORD research on early detection monitoring strategies. Topics covered include allocation of effort, sampling design, gear choices, laboratory taxonomy, and DNA-based methods.
