Refine stormwater BMP optimization tool with Regional specific inputs and efficiencies
Description:
EPA Region 1 received supplemental funding to complete work on the Opti-Tool. The Opti-Tool will provide a user-friendly interface with the SUSTAIN model to allow users to identify the most cost-effective stormwater BMP type and placement options in a watershed to meet specified nutrient, sediment, and metal reduction targets. With support from Region 1, TetraTech is developing default input data files for the Opti-Tool with regionally-appropriate loading coefficients, BMP efficiencies and cost information. WMOST v.2 is being designed to use the same default parameters (to be consistent with Regional TMDL guidance). However, WMOST v.2 has been designed to provide input and extract output from the SUSTAIN model independently of the Opti-Tool.
