The User's guide provides detailed instructions on how to the the "PICES Nonindigenous Species Information System", a database of the nonindigenous species in the North Pacific. The document also provide metadata for the parameters in the database and the companion document "Atlas of Nonindigenous Marine and Estuarine Species in the North Pacific".
Description:
The database, the "PICES Nonindigenous Species Information System", was constucted to synthesize the global distributions, environmental tolerances, and natural history attributes of the nonindigenous species in the North Pacific and Hawaii. The User's Guide provides the instructions on how to use the database. The User's Guide also provides metadata (e.g., defintions, ranges for classes, etc) for the attributes in the database and the companion document, the "Atlas of Nonindigenous Marine and Estuarine Species in the North Pacific".
