Citation:
Loughlin, Dan. Projecting U.S. climate forcing and criteria pollutant emissions through 2050. EPA STAR “Dynamic Air Quality Management” Kick-Off & “Adaptation for Future Air Quality Analysis and Decision Support Tools in Light of Global Change Impacts and Mitigation” Progress Review, RTP, NC, November 08 - 09, 2012.
Impact/Purpose:
Provide technical audience with an update on the methodology being developed to generate multi-decadal emission scenarios and to model those scenarios through emission and air quality models. The audience include recipients of EPA STAR grants on Dynamic Air Quality Modeling and Decision Support Tools for Assessing Global Change Impacts.
Description:
Presentation highlighting a method for translating emission scenarios to model-ready emission inventories. The presentation highlights new features for spatially allocating emissions to counties and grid cells and identifies areas of potential improvement, such as updating temporal profiles.
