Description:

The interlaboratory precision of the ASTM early life-stage toxicity test with the sheepshead minnow Cyprinodon variegatus) as investigated at five contract and two EPA laboratories using endosulfan nd pentachlorobenzene. ach laboratory conducted two tests with each hemical. ests began with 24-hour-old embryos continued through mbryonic development, hatching and growth of fish to the juvenile tage and were terminated after 28 days. ffects on survival of mbryos, survival of hatched fish and weight f surviving fish were uantified. ules were developed for judging acceptability of test esults and for selecting the upper and lower chronic values. sing these rules, 19 of the 28 tests (68 percent) were judged acceptable.
