Citation:

DiGoregorio, A., P. DeArmond, AND T. Jones-Lepp. Tandem Extraction/Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Protocol for the Analysis of Acrylamide and Surfactant-related Compounds in Complex Aqueous Environmental Samples. Presented at Asilomar 2013 - Mass Spectrometry in Environmental Chemistry, Toxicology, and Health, Pacific Grove, CA, October 18 - 22, 2013.

Impact/Purpose:

Acrylamide and surfactant‐related compounds, including ethoxylated alcohols, ethoxylated alkylphenols, and alkylphenols, are emerging contaminants with many different routes into the environment. Newer methodologies are necessary to extract and detect these amorphous compounds from extremely complex environmental matrices.

Description:

The development of a liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry (LC‐MS)‐based strategy for the detection and quantitation of acrylamide and surfactant‐related compounds in aqueous complex environmental samples.
