The purpose of the Interagency Steering Committee on Multimedia Environmental Modeling (ISCMEM) is to foster the exchange of information about environmental modeling tools, modeling frameworks, and environmental monitoring databases that are all in the public domain. It is compose of six working groups, of which Working Group 1 is title Software System Design and Implementation for Environmental Modeling. Its purpose is to Foster the exchange of information about environmental modeling tools, modeling frameworks, and environmental monitoring databases. This presentation summarizes its 2012 activities, identifying key Federal collaborators, six different coordinated activities, three workshops, and five publications.
