The purpose of this project was to design a prototype system for surveillance of certian water quality parameters and water distribution system operating conditions that may be correlated in space and/or time with public health events possibly related to drinking water contamination. Algorithms were developed and implemented to identify triggers that would initiate investigations by public health epidemilogists and/or water utility personnel. Visual and analytic tools were developed to aid an investigation and foster collaboration between the health departments and the water utilities.
