Description:
This presentation will discuss the use of point-of-use (POU) technology for small drinking water systems. Information will be provided on the USEPA regulations that allow the use of POU for compliance and the technologies that are listed as SSCT for radium and arsenic. Listing of the States that allow POU and those that have actually implemented the use of POU will be presented. The presentation will conclude with a short description of the a report requested by Congress on the barriers of POU for arsenic treatment and on a USGS project on the treatment of arsenic in private well water in Licking County, OH.
