EPA Method 525.3 - Determination of Semivolatile Organic Chemicals in Drinking Water by Solid Phase Extraction and Capillary Column Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS). U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, DC, 2012.

Impact/Purpose:

The objective of these tasks is to develop analytical methods that are specific, rugged, sensitive, and practical. These tasks will focus on the development of analytical methods for chemicals identified on CCL 3 or emerging contaminants not yet listed on the CCL. It is anticipated that these methods will be used to collect nationwide occurrence data under future UCMRs

Description:

Method 525.3 is an analytical method that uses solid phase extraction (SPE) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) for the identification and quantitation of 125 selected semi-volatile organic chemicals in drinking water.
