To characterize human health exposure and risk associated with U.S. electrical generating unit (EGU) mercury emissions with a foucs on a highly exposed population, subsistence fishers. The draft document was peer reviewed by the Science Advisory Board on September 2011. the document was finalized on December 16, 2011.
Description:
The EPA has completed a national-scale risk assessment for mercury to inform the appropriate and necessary determination for electric utility steam generating unites in the United States (U.S. EGU's), persuant to Section 112(n)(1)(A) of the Clean Air Act. This document describes this national-scale mercury risk analysis.
