Purpose/Objective:

Contamination warning systems (CWS) for water distribution systems are designed to reduce the adverse effects associated with intentional or accidental contamination of the distribution systems. CWS are designed on the basis of assumption concerning the nature of the contamination events that may occur or are thought to be important. The results of this work can be used to implement more robust designs for CWSs, while reducing computational requirements.
