TMDL TRACKING SYSTEM
Description:
Resource Purpose:The TMDL Tracking System database contains information on the waters listed under section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act and to track those listed waters through TMDL development. The purpose of the database is to allow EPA, the States/Territories/Tribes, and the public to obtain a more complete picture of how many waters have been listed, the causes of impairment and to identify what TMDLs have been done. Prior development of the database this information was not available at a national scale in an electronic format.The TMDL Tracking system supports OW's overall programmatic goal of achieving fishable/swimmable water, better communicating which waters are not attaining standards, and supporting the attainment of those standards through TMDL development.
