U.S. EPA. Evaluating a Decontamination Technology Based on the Electrochemical Generation of Anolyte Solution against B. anthracis Spores . U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, DC, EPA/600/R-11/124, 2011.

Impact/Purpose:

Under this project, an electrochemically-generated hypochlorous acid solution from a modified commercially-available EcaFlo® system was evaluated with regard to its ability to decontaminate six materials inoculated with approximately 1 x 108 total colony forming units (CFU) of Bacillus anthracis (Ames) and Bacillus subtilis spores (ATCC 19659).
