Description:
Originally developed for the US EPA Regions, this presentation is available to the general public via the internet. The presentation focuses on the basics of Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) including the ISO 14040 series framework and a quick overview of each of the steps within an LCIA. It will include the development of impact assessment methodologies for several impact categories, a discussion of midpoints vs. endpoints and damages, options for decision making at each of these steps, key papers and events which have influenced LCIA, and current research in the area of land and water use.
