Small Scale Multisource Site – Hydrogeology Investigation

Citation:

ROSS, R. R. Small Scale Multisource Site – Hydrogeology Investigation. Presented at EPA Geophysical Techniques Workshop for Shallow Ground Water, Dallas, TX, May 11 - 12, 2011.

Impact/Purpose:

Presentation for the EPA Geophysical Techniques Workshop for Shallow Ground Water in Dallas, TX (May 11-12, 2011)

Description:

A site impacted by brackish water was evaluated using traditional hydrogeologic and geochemical site characterization techniques. No single, specific source of the brine impacted ground water was identified. However, the extent of the brine impacted ground water was found to be widespread in nature. Shallow geophysical methods were recommended to further characterize the extent of impacted ground water and identify potential sources.
