Description:

In collaboration with the US EPA, the Inter American University of Puerto Rico Center for Environmental Education, Conservation and Research (CECIA-IAUPR) will sponsor the 9th CECIA-IAUPR Biennial Symposium on Potable Water Issues in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on March 10 and 11, 2011. The symposium will focus on large systems versus those that serve fewer than 10,000 users: operation and management, valuing drinking water and links to health. The symposium also focuses on options for safe and clean drinking water in small communities. The presentation will provide information on household and kitchen sink treatment devices for removal of contaminants from drinking water in very small communities.
