Description:
Although the physical principles that link together the various parts of the urban water cycle are well understood, the integration of green technologies into urban watershed management requires some further study. I will present results from a multidisciplinary approach to watershed management, comment on the efficacy of monitoring approaches for both hydrologic and ecological endpoints , and introduce concepts in soil taxonomic and hydraulic assessments that form a basis for planning effective green infrastructure in urban core areas.
