Description:
Critical source areas include: vehicular maintenance facilities, parking lots and bus terminals, junk and lumber yards, industrial storage facilities, loading docks and refueling areas, manufacturing sites, etc. Addressing pollutant runoff from these areas is an important component of a comprehensive stormwater management program. The USEPA Office of Research and Development sponsored the development of an onsite system, called the Multi-Chambered Treatment Train (MCTT), to treat toxicants in stormwater from these areas. The system has been demonstrated at pilot- and full-scale. This presentation describes the system and presents the results of several full-scale applications.
