Description:

The USEPA's Ground Water and Ecosystems Restoration Division (GWERD) conducts research and provides technical assistance to support the development of strategies and technologies to protect and restore ground water, surface water, and ecosystems impacted by man-made and natural events. GWERD applies this basic knowledge to develop and evaluate innovative methods to: 1) restore contaminated ground water, 2) prevent pollution of pristine ground water, and 3) restore watershed ecosystems. This is a presentation about the GWERD, our resources (people, facilities, equipment, collaborators), and our research and technical support activities. This overview presentation of the GWERD is being presented at a subsurface remediation workshop for the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
