Impact/Purpose:
To inform.
Description:
This verification test was conducted according to procedures specifiedin the Test/QA Planfor Verification of Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) Test Kis for the Quantitative Determination of Endocrine Disrupting Compounds (EDCs) in Aqueous Phase Samples. Deviations to the test/QA plan were made due to unanticipated circumstances. As such, test procedures described are a complete description of the actual test conditions. Because of their potential to interfere with human, domestic animal, and wildlife reproduction, EDCs are of increasing concern throughout the country. Immunoassay techniques, particularly ELISA, are becoming increasingly popular in the field of environmental analysis due to their high sensitivity, ease of use, short analysis time, and cost-effectiveness.
