Description:
This work has been published to demonstrate an application that the authors made of the geospatial National Hydrography Dataset (NHDPlus) that was developed by Horizon Systems Corporation for the US EPA. NHDPlus was produced to enhance hydrological maps of the United States for the EPA WATERS applications (http://www.epa.gov/waters/), which is a watershed assessment, tracking and environmental results tool uniting multiple databases. The authors applied this new tool (2007) for their research needs to produce landscape and watershed areas of influence for sites sampled on great rivers
