To present an overview of the current SMARTe framework and ideas for the future.

Description:

SMARTe (Sustainable Management Approaches and Revitalization Tools-electronic) is a web-based decision support tool being developed by the Office of Research and Development (ORD) in partnership with the Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization (OBLR), the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC) and the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). SMARTe contains information, links, analysis tools, checklists, and case studies to help users overcome obstacles to site revitalization. It can be found at www.smarte.org and is freely available to the public. SMARTe is intended for all stakeholders with varying levels and types of expertise; however the primary audience is community members who are interested in educating themselves about the revitalization process. This presentation is an overview of the current SMARTe framework and ideas for the future.
