INVENTORY OF ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION PROJECTS WITHIN THE MID-ATLANTIC INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT (MAIA) REGION, NATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT RESEARCH LABORATORY

Citation:

Description:

In cooperation with the Office of Water, the Office of Research and Development's National Risk Management Research Laboratory is developing an inventory of ecosystem restoration projects within the Mid-Atlantic Integrated Assessment (MAIA) Region. The MAIA Region includes five states (Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia) and the District of Columbia. It also includes the Delaware Bay and Chesapeake Bay watersheds which extend into New York and New Jersey and the Albemarle-Pamlico Sound watershed which extends into the North Carolina coastal bays. By including restoration project(s) in this inventory, it will allow you to showcase your ecosystem restoration efforts and to share lessons learned with practitioners in the MAIA Region. The inventory consists of a web-accessible database of ecosystem restoration projects in both aquatic and terrestrial environments conducted by federal, state, and local government entities as well as nongovernment organizations. This inventory will enable practitioners, restoration planners, researchers, and other stakeholders to access a central respository of restoration project information. For instructions on how to add your restoration project(s) to the inventory, visit the website at http://www.epa.gov/ttbnrmrl/inventory.htm.
