The mission of the Technical Support Center's (TSC's) technology transfer program includes conducting information transfer workshops, seminars, and conferences as well as training courses. These activities provide a forum for discussing cutting-edge issues among government, academic, consulting, and industrial leaders in the environmental field. To date, the focus of these efforts has been in the area of subsurface characterization and remediation. Topics of previous workshops, seminars,and conferences have included dense nonaqueous phase liquids, soil venting, groundwater sampling, and optimization of pump-and-treat systems.
