The Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program's international outrearch activities have extended as far as Canada, Germany, Taiwan and the Philippines. Vendors from Canada and Germany were hosted at verification tests of turbidimeters. In May 1999, EPA's ETV Coordinator visited Taiwan to participate and deliver the keynote address at Taiwan's 1999 Environmental Analytical Chemistry Conference. Another visit was made in 1999 to the Philippines to continue discussions with government officials, Clark Development Corporation, the Philippine Industial Technical Development Institute and the U.S. Asia Environmental Partnership on participation of the groups under a Memorandum of Understanding.
