ETV - VERIFICATION TESTING (ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY VERIFICATION PROGRAM)

Citation:

Description:

Verification testing is a major component of the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) program. The ETV Program was instituted to verify the performance of innovative technical solutions to problems that threaten human health or the environment and was created to substantially accelerate the entrance of new environmental technologies into the domestic and international marketplace. The Program is operated by EPA's Office of Research and Development; overseen by E. Timothy Oppelt, Director of the National Risk Management Research Laboratory, Cincinnati, OH; and managed by the Director of the ETV Program. ETV verifies commercial ready, private sector technologies through 12 pilots dealing with air, water, monitoring, pollution prevention, and EvTEC (an Independent Entity). Information relating to testing events both past and upcoming events pertaining to the verification process along with test/quality assurance plans; technologies that are currently being verified; technologies that have been verified; and a glossary of ETV terms are also available.
