Objective is to cover aspects of the application of permeable reactive zones to treat contaminated ground water.

Description:

The presentation will cover aspects of the application of permeable reactive zones to treat contaminated ground water. Specific field studies will be discussed covering both granular iron-based and organic carbon-based reactive barriers. Specific contaminants addressed include: TCE, arsenic, lead, pH, and nitrate. Long-term performance data will be discussed along with a discussion on the sustainability of remedial mechanisms.
