Impact/Purpose:
The information collected on abundance, distribution and variability of benthic organisms will be useful in development of sampling strategies for assessment of large reservoirs.
Description:
Benthic macroinvertebrates assemblages are useful indicators of ecological condition for aquatic systems. This study was conducted to characterize benthic communities of three large reservoirs on the Missouri River. The information collected on abundance, distribution and variability of benthic organisms will be useful in development of sampling strategies for assessment of large reservoirs.
