The Urban Watershed Management Branch researches, develops, and evaluates technologies, practices, and systems to manage risks to human health and ecosystems from Wet Weather Flow (WWF) sources in urban watersheds. The focus is on the risk management aspects of WWF research. One of the two teams dedicated to WWF research in the Urban Watershed Management Branch is the Watershed Management Research Team. The Team develops and reports technical information, guidance, and techniques for managing existing and potential environmental risks from physical, chemical, and biological stressors to urban watersheds from headwaters through estuaries.
