2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-P-Dioxin (TCDD) Dose-Response Studies: Preliminary Literature Search Results and Request for Additional Studies
[12/29] EPA is announcing a 3-day public, scientific
workshop, including a public review of the recent scientific literature
on 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-Dioxin (TCDD) dose-response, to assist
EPA in responding to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) report,
Health Risks from Dioxin and Related Compounds: Evaluation of the EPA
Reassessment (NAS, 2006) as explained in a December 29, 2008 Federal Register Notice. The workshop will be held February 18-20, 2009. Click here to register for the workshop or to see the agenda.
[11/24] EPA announced the release of a preliminary search results list for public review and comment as explained in the November 24, 2008 Federal Register Notice. The deadline for comments is January 9, 2009.

Description:
EPA invited the public to comment on the preliminary list of in vivo mammalian dose-response citations for 2,3,7,8 tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD). This list was compiled as a first step in the development of EPA’s response to the National Academy of Sciences comments (NAS, 2006) on the dose-response assessment presented in the Exposure and Human Health Reassessment of 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-Dioxin (TCDD) and Related Compounds (Dioxin Reassessment, EPA, 2003).
