Impact/Purpose:

Overview of the ETV Program and how it can be used to help meet developing country needs.

Description:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program evaluates the performance of innovative air, water, pollution prevention and monitoring technologies that have the potential to improve human health and the environment. This cd contains a compilation of case studies for 15 technology categories verified by the ETV Program. These case studies were initially published in two separate documents, "ETV Program Case Studies: Demonstrating Program Outcomes, Volumes I and II". Each case study contains a brief description of the test, technology(ies), and potential outcomes that could be attributed to its/their use, based on different market penetration scenarios. Where possible, ETV included potential human health and environmental impacts. The cd was developed to communicate information about program outcomes, verified technology performance, applicability, and ETV testing requirements to the public and decision-makers.
