ETV protocol
Description:
The Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program has been established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to verify the performance characteristics of innovative environmental technologies across all media and report this objective information to the states, buyers, and users of environmental technology. This is expected to accelerate the entrance of these new technologies into the marketplace. Verification organizations oversee and report verification activities based on testing and quality assurance protocols developed with input from major stakeholders and customer groups associated with the technology area. ETV consists of six technology centers. Air Pollution Prevention and Control Division (APPCD) has partnered with Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), through the National Defense Center for Environmental Excellence (NDCEE), to verify innovative coatings and coating equipment technologies for reducing air emissions from coating operations. This protocol outlines the basis for completing an ETV verification test of High-Transfer Efficiency Spray Guns.
