Description:

This manuscript provides an example of integrated laboratory and field approach to complete a toxicological ecological risk assessment at the landscape level. The core findings from the study demonstrate how radio telemetry data can allow for ranking the relative risks of contaminants to those of other stresses such as resource availability on a refuge surrounded by an urban setting. Spatial explicit modeling is gaining in popularity for wildlife risk assessments, and this study goes into great detail with observed relocation data to refute assumptions of habitat preferences when limited space is available.
