An introduction, overview, and results of mathematical modeling in Lake Michigan. The presentation focuses on model mass balances and forecasts for atrazine and PCBs. The mass balance provides an overview of the sources, interactions, movement, behavior, and fate of contaminants in the system. Forecasts were conducted to determine alternative futures based on different management actions.
