Impact/Purpose:

Purpose/Objective: This is an invited presentation on how to use information determined from habitat modeling techniques to better inform bay scallop restoration efforts. The purpose of this special session is to gain a better understanding of how to conduct future bay scallop restoration activities to obtain a maximal level of success.

Description:

Habitat quality and quantity are important factors to consider when restoring bay scallop (Argopecten irradians) populations; however, data linking habitat attributes to bay scallop populations are lacking. This information is essential to guide restoration efforts to reverse scallop declines.
