IMPACT OF WATER CHEMISTRY ON MANGANESE REMOVAL DURING OXIDATION/FILTRATION TREATMENT

Citation:

ZIMMERMAN, E. AND D. A. LYTLE. IMPACT OF WATER CHEMISTRY ON MANGANESE REMOVAL DURING OXIDATION/FILTRATION TREATMENT. Presented at US EPA WORKSHOP ON INORGANIC CONTAMINANT ISSUES, CINCINNATI, OH, August 21 - 23, 2007.

Description:

This is a poster showing the purpose and setup of our pilot plant experiments with manganese filtration. The focus is on the differences, effectiveness, and problems with using chlorine and potassium permanganate in oxidation/filtration. The poster will show the results and findings to date with the project in relation to manganese levels, color, turbidity, headloss, and other parameters.
