This presentation provides an update and overview of new research results and remaining research needs with respect to copper corrosion control issues. The topics to be covered include: occurrence of elevated copper release in systems that meet the Action Level; impact of water chemistry on copper solubility; copper pitting corrosion research findings; unusual mineralogy of copper phosphates providing corrosion inhibition; and factors affecting pinhole lead generation in new copper piping.
