REGION 4-SESD COASTAL PROGRAM PROJECTS
Impact/Purpose:
Data obtained from SESD sample collection or analyses are used by the Water Management Division in the implementation of the ODMDS program and related Coastal programs.
Description:
Region 4 Science and Ecosystem Support Division (SESD) coastal activities include projects to support the Region 4 Water Management Division Coastal programs. These field investigations include development of a Quality Assurance Project Plan for field sample collection and a subsequent reporting of analytical data generated by SESD from the field project. Coastal projects address a variety of issues such as water quality conditions of Offshore Dredge Material Disposal Sites (ODMDS) and Reference site evaluations. SESD field sampling and data collection follow the Division Quality Management Plan and applicable Operating Procedures. This year SESD conducted field and/or lab analyses for one ODMDS site and two Reference Evaluations.
