ECOLOGICAL CALIBRATION OF ESTERO BAY BASINS MX974851

Impact/Purpose:

The purpose of this activity is to verify water quality conditions within each of the basins and to help establish baseline benthic macro invertebrate diversity criteria for the Bay. 1-08-04 NFE requested to 11-30-05. Recd 12-17-04. Recipient Signed copy received 1-10-05. 10/25/2005 NFE requested to 05/30/2006 Jeffrey R. Schmid has replaced David Ceilley as the Project Manager (10-19-05). I spoke to Jeff Schmid about the timeline on the final product. Asked about status. It's a difficult task but he believes that they will have the final report within the set time period. Note that project end date has been changed to 9/30/2006 per Bill Lundy. Original request for extension to 8/31/2006 was put thru by Larinda in Dec. 2005; Bill Lundy failed to process it. On 4/19/2006 Bill processed the amendment extending end date to 9/30/2006 (see e-mail in grant book). - Award Official Signed Copy received on 04/28/2006 - Recipient Signed Copy received on 05/11/2006 Andrew McElwaine is now the President and CEO of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida(07/13/2006). Description:

The biological assessment of Estero Bay's tributaries will verify water quality conditions within each of the basins and will help to establish baseline benthic macro invertebrate diversity criteria for the Bay.
