USEPA. DRAFT SCIENCE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT COORDINATION BOARD (SIMCORB) BUSINESS PLAN VERSION 1.2, JULY 14, 2000. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Research and Development, Science Information Management Coordination Board (SIMCorB), Washington, DC, 2000.
Description:
The Office of Research and Development (ORD) has recognized the central role of information management (IM) in supporting the quality and integrity of science and has established an IM component of the ORD Strategic Plan. The ORD strategic IM vision highlights ORD's responsibility to provide defensible and credible scientific information in support of the Agency's mission and establishes the requirement that IM be included as an integral component of all ORD research planning and implementation. The purpose of this Science Information Management Coordination Board (SIMCorB) Business Plan is to define milestones, budgets, and schedules for projects that will create the IM support capability necessary to achieve ORD's strategic science goals. This plan is intended to be a "living document" and is subject to update as the array of current projects and cross-cutting initiatives are implemented, new information obtained, and new priorities established.
