To address the influence of ethanol on hydrocarbon plumes and to address policies that will prevent an increase in total loading of nutrients, pesticides and sediments to waterways.
Description:
Presentation requested by the National Academy of Science (NAS) for a Colloquium on Water Quality Implications of Biofuels Production, to be held at the NAS in Washington, D.C. on July 12, 2007. This presentation will address the influence of ethanol on hydrocarbon plumes and the potential impact on the contaminant transport with increasing hydraulic demand.
