This document outlines the strategic approach that the USEPA Western Ecology Division will be taking to design Place-Based research to examine aspects of ecosystem services in the Willamette ecosystem services district. The end product of this research will be a model model- based system that will enable decision makers to project various arrays of decisions and base conditions to project how the delivery of ecosystem services will respond over defined time periods and spatial extents.
