Description:

The Environmental Technology Verification Program (ETV) was started by EPA in 1995 to generate independent credible data on the performance of innovative technologies that have potential to improve protection of public health and the environment. ETV does not approve or certify products, but rather it provides quality data, responsive to customer need. ETV success depends on obtaining and communicating information about the solutions. The results are available on the EPA website. A testing program for baghouse filtration products (BFP) has been developed by the Air Pollution Control Technology Verification Center. Forecasts indicate that there is a big market for new and retrofit fabric filters. New fabrics have been developed which offer the combination of highly effective particulate removal and low operation pressure drop. BFP verification addresses the removal of fine particles (PM 2.5) along with a limited number of other parameters including pressure drop and cleaning requirements.
