Description:
This two hour segment of the course reviews the four types of rate constants, illustrates their interactions to produce the behavior of a plume over time, provides representative values of rate constants from the literature, illustrates methods to extract rate constants from field data, illustrates the application of stable isotope ratios to estimate the extent of biodegradation at field scale, and provides recommendations for dealing with heterogeneity of biodegradation at field scale.
