Impact/Purpose:

To inform the public

Description:

The high purity, high throughput synthesis of a number of imines (Schiff bases) using a spinning tube-in-tube reactor (STT, Kreido Laboratories, Camarillo, CA) has been carried out. The STT reactor allows the high throughput production of high purity imines from a wide variety of starting aldehyde/ketones and amines in quantities and purities that are impractical or impossible via standard batch reaction techniques.
