Description:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program evaluates the performance of innovative air, water, pollution prevention and monitoring technologies that have the potential to improve human health and the environment. This technology brief, Green Buildings, contains a summary of the information provided in the two longer case studies addressing fuel cells and microturbine/combined heat and power technologies. These case studies were published in the booklet titled "Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program Case Studies: Demonstrating Program Outcomes, Volume II" in September 2006. It contains a brief descripton of the test, technology(ies), and potential outcomes that could be attributed to verified fuel cell and microturbine/CHP use. It also summarizes verification activities associated with microbial resistant gypsum wallboard.
