Description:
Under EPA's Environmental Technology Verification Program, Research Triangle Institute (RTI) will operate the Air Pollution Control Technology Center to verify the filtration efficiency and bioaerosol inactivation efficiency of heating, ventilation and air conditioning air cleaners for culturable bioaerosol and aerosol challenges. RTI will perform the testing, evaluate the data and prepare the verification reports and the verification statements. The scope of this test and quality assurance plan covers in-duct air cleaners based on filtration, ultraviolet illumination, photocatalytic oxidation and combinations of technology that can be used for UV, PCO and other technologies if they are compatible with the test facilities and procedures.
