ANSTEAD, A., J. PAUER, AND R. G. KREIS, JR. ESTIMATING HISTORICAL TP LOADS: IS THE "NATURAL STATE" OF LAKE MICHIGAN MORE OLIGOTROPHIC THAN WE THOUGHT? Presented at North American Lake Management Society Conference, Indianapolis, IN, November 08 - 10, 2006.
Description:
An updated model estimated phosphorus loads to Lake Michigan of approximately 1800 MTA for 1800-1850. The model was also able to predict lake-wide annual average TP concentration, which compared favorably to measured TP concentrations at various sampling locations from the early 1950s to the mid-1990s.
